Brazil Pantanal Lodge Package

Our favorite pair of Pantanal lodges are world class and are located around 230 km west of the city of Campo Grande in the state capital of Mato Grosso do Sul.

The 2 lodges making up the ecological refuge have independent operations but have a group philosophy. Both lodges offer the close contact with local fauna, flora and culture, as well as the same high quality of service, both have swimming pools, air conditioning in the rooms, private bathrooms with hot showers, 110 volts energy outlets are fitted in the lodges, and also living rooms equiped with TVs and DVDs, plus the essential bar and restaurant facilities.

Guests are placed by us in either of the 2 lodges according to availability for the dates selected when booking. Additional services include a telephone service, fax, medical post, gift shop, and radio coverage for the entire property providing high levels of security for our guests.

The first lodge is located 9 km from the entrance, it is built on stilts and is designed to resemble a bird with its wings spread. Located at the banks of a lake the lodge provides an authentic while cozy experience. There are 6 standard guestrooms and therefore there is also an exclusive feel.

The second lodge is located 13 km from the entrance, it is brick built and mounted on stilts, it is located on the edge of the Cordilheira forest, blending perfectly into the surrounding natural environment. This lodge has 8 guestrooms, 6 being standard level and 2 superior suites.

Program of Activities

• Light trekking around the lodge to observe of animals. on night excursions you will be able to spot caimans and other nocturnal animals.
  
• Horse back riding, which is probably the best way to visit the heart of the Pantanal. Horses allow you to get to places which you would normally not be able to do by regular means of transport.
  
• Excursions on a variety of specially adapted vehicles to allow better observation of different environments and its fauna and flora.
  
• Motor boat trips along the Aquidauana River. This excursion only operates during the dry season (April through October).
  
• Rowing boat trips on the lakes close to the lodges. This is a very serene way to get closer to nature as you move very quietly across the lake.
  
• There are also a series of lectures with slides and video shows.

Guests are taken on outings and activities three times a day, one early in the moming, a second one in the afternoon and the third after dinner. including a night outing for nocturnal animal observation. The different seasons as well as weather conditions determine the destinations for each excursion and they are decided locally by our staff. The final schedule is given to guests upon arrival by our guides and managers.

The package includes:

• Horseback, rowing and / or motorboat excursions, nature observation and photographic safari, hikes and nocturnal animal trips.
• Bilingual (English / Portuguese) guides with knowledge of local fauna and flora;
• Welcoming orientation lecture and audiovisual presentation.

NOTE: Outside of the period above the whole lodge must be reserved for 3 nights minimum, if this meets with your requirements please ask us to quote.

MANDATORY: Environmental Fee: USD 32,00 per person, per package.

• Land Transfer: Distance from Campo Grande airport to the lodge - 236 km.
  Length of trip - 4 hours on average, including one stop en route.
  Regular Departures : THURSDAYS and SUNDAYS
  Time Schedule : Campo Grande airport to the lodges - 1:00 pm or 5pm departure.
  Return to Campo Grande Airport - depart at 6:00am and 1030am.
  POOL TRANSFER RATES : per person each way- US$ 118.
  PRIVATE TRANSFER RATES: per person each way - $256 with 1 person, $129 with 2 people, $93 with 3 people, $71 with 4 people.
