The itinerary that was made for us to include all of the areas that we wanted to visit was excellent, you did a great job in fitting a lot into a 3 week period....... There was no one stand out highlight of our trip as we enjoyed every place we visited and they were all individually exciting and quite different. If we had to pick one it would be a toss up between Easter Island and Machu Picchu. Thank you for all of the organization that went into our trip, we did not have to worry about any aspect other than to turn up at the allotted time and someone would look after every detail for us.

A superb tour for active wine lovers. Visiting the 2 most famous wine regions in South America; Mendoza, Argentina and the Colchagua Valley, Chile. Tour the two capital cities of Santiago and Buenos Aires and enjoy easy cycling between Vineyards and luxury lodges and hotels, although more economical options are available if you wish.
Fly into one of South America´s most cosmopolitan cities where we will be waiting for you to transfer you to your hotel. A guide at the hotel will give a brief discussion and review of your travel plans before we set out to discover some of Buenos Aires´ most historic neighborhoods. As we make our way through the bustling metropolis, we will stop off at some of the city´s finest wine bars where you can sample Argentina´s premium wines, including the famous Malbec. Put your dancing shoes on for a night out of Tango dancing and soak up the traditional art of the dance and its accompanying music.
Tango is a passion here in Argentina and you will have a superb night out, we recommend Piazzolla or El Querandi.
If there is the option to see a football (soccer) game at the Boca ground you might want to take it, even if you have little interest in football, its a real experience! Please speak to us about the options. Recomended hotels include one of the 4 star Dazzler Hotels in various locations in Buenos Aires.
Today we will set out for BA´s most exclusive and prestigious neighborhood: Recoleta. Here you will discover the art of fine dining in the suburb´s many glitzy cafes and restaurants, as well as a visit to the eerie La Recoleta Cemetery where Evita Peron is buried and the cemetery cats keep watch over the country´s richest and most influential deceased. In the afternoon we will take a bike tour around the ecological reservation and end our ride with lunch at one of the city´s many delicious steakhouses by the city´s waterfront. You can spend the rest of the day at your leisure to soak up the atmosphere of this remarkable city before turning in.
After breakfast you will take an early morning flight to Mendoza, the wine making capital of Argentina. Upon arrival in Mendoza you will check in at the exclusive Club Tapiz where the owners have maintained its Renaissance style architecture and vintage features. Hop on a bicycle and head over to the famous Achaval Ferrer for a wine tasting sitting before making our way to the Ruca Malen winery for a decadent luncheon. You can spend the rest of your afternoon at your leisure before we head out to the center of Mendoza for an evening excursion.

Today we make our way south to the Uco Valley by taking the scenic route through the town of Tupungato. Upon arrival we will ride to the Bodega Salentein Winery, one of the pioneers of winemaking in the region. Lunch will be held at the winery´s own restaurant, Killka, where nature and infrastructure have been combined to produce a breathtaking setting which preserves and celebrates Andean culture and traditions. The afternoon will be spent on horseback as we wind our way through the vineyards and take in the outstanding view of the Tupungato mountain range which sits at a staggering 6800 meters above sea level. We will then spend the night at the Posada Salentein.
After breakfast we head out to one of the region´s most famous and exclusive wineries: Clos de los Siete where you can sample traditional foods such as the delicious meat pies empanadas and typical Argentine barbeque asado. Enjoy the estate´s finest selection of wines as you look out at the breathtaking Andes Mountains in the background. In the afternoon we will take a bike ride to La Azul. This private, exclusive winery produces some excellent Malbecs and Cabernet sauvignon which you will be able to sample at your leisure.
Wake up for the last time in Argentina´s wine district before heading out to the Mendoza Airport where you will board a flight to Santiago, the capital of Chile. Upon arrival in Chile we will head into the city centre and check into one of the city´s hotels, see our favorites here! We will then take a trip to the Mercado Central where local chefs go to buy fresh seafood and you can take pleasure in sampling some of the regions tastiest and freshest cuisine. You can then spend the rest of the day taking in the sights and sounds of this pleasant city.
After a lavish breakfast we head south to Chile´s premier wine region: the Colchagua Valley. Spend the day at your leisure, visiting the local museum or simply walking around the interesting town of Santa Cruz. In the afternoon, we will take a scenic bike ride through the beautiful wine region on secondary roads before making our way back to the hotel for a tasty dinner.
Wake up in Chile´s picturesque wine region before heading to the town of Lolol. Here we will collect our bicycles and cycle to the peaceful ¨Valley of the Artists¨ where we will enjoy a gourmet picnic lunch and then head back into town. We will then take a short transfer back to Santa Cruz and spend the night in a place similar to Hotel Viña la Playa.
Today we will make our way to another premier wine region in Chile – the city of Curicó. The city, which was destroyed by an earthquake in 1928, is considered one of Chile´s most cultured and provincial towns. A short distance outside of the city we will visit the Alta Cima – a family-run winery that produces some of the region´s greatest fine wine. In the town of Romeral we will make our way to Colo Colo, one of the area´s best restaurants which is well known among locals for its Plateadas (casserole beef) and considered some of the best in country. After a relaxing lunch we head out to the Casa Silva Winery where we will spend the night. Enjoy the lodge´s fine wine ¨Carmenere¨ as you relax on the patio before we get together for a delicious farewell dinner in the barrel room of the Bodega.
Enjoy a leisurely morning stroll through some of the Colchagua Valley´s oldest vineyards after breakfast before heading back to the Santiago International Airport to leave the country.
