Argentina Highlights Tour

This Argentina vacation combines three of the most popular destinations in one great tour, making the most of your time and giving you maximum enjoyment. Experience the stylish Argentine capital, Buenos Aires, along with the spectacular natural treasures of Iguazu Falls and the beautiful Perito Moreno glacier.

DAY 1

After arrival in Buenos Aires you will be met and transfered to your hotel in the center of the city. The rest of the day will be yours to relax and enjoy this stylish city, wandering the Recoleta or Puerto Madero areas for example. In the evening feel to try one of the excellent restaurants and maybe a few bars on a night out in Palermo.

If there is the option to see a football (soccer) game at the Boca ground you might want to take it, even if you have little interest in football, its a real experience! DAY 2

During the morning you will have a guided tour of various cultural and historical areas of this very interesting capital. For the afternoon you will then be free to do whatever takes your fancy and the highlight of the evening will be enjoying a Tango show and dinner. Tango is a passion here in Argentina and you will have a superb night out, we recommend Piazzolla or El Querandi.

DAY 3

After an early breakfast you will be transfered by us to the Buenos Aires domestic airport for your one and a half hour flight to Puerto Iguazu. You will be met at the airport upon arrival and be taken to the hotel of your choice to check in. You will then have an excursion to the Brazilian side of these truly breathtaking waterfalls. During the afternoon you will have a spectacular boat ride right under the falls, its a truely amazing experience that you will never forget!

The Iguazu waterfalls are some of the most impressive natural wonders you will ever see, you will be truly astounded. Afterwards you will be taken back to your hotel and spend the night in the town of Puerto Iguazu.

DAY 4

Today you will have an excursion to see the falls from the Argentinian side of the border. You will pass through the Iguazu National Park enjoying the lush jungle environment, the huge rapids and very impressive falls. In the afternoon you will return to the hotel and be able to relax and wander. In Iguasu we can recommend the Grand Iguasu Hotel for a little luxury but there are many others in all price ranges too. Just let us know what you prefer.

Day 5

After breakfast you will be transfered to the airport for the flight to Buenos Aires and onward connection at the domestic Aeroparque airport to arrive in El Calafate (it may be that flight schedules change so we will be flexible in the planning of your tour).

When you land in El Calafate you will be met by our local agent and transfered to your comfortable hotel. Here you can just relax and enjoy wandering the town after traveling during the day. We can arrange for you to stay in the excellent Mirador del Lago Hotel or similar.

DAY 6

Today is a full day sightseeing, visiting the impressive and beautiful Perito Moreno glacier. This is spectacular natural sight and we allow you to get up close to the glacier wall on its meltwater lake and seeing large blocks of ice breaking off. You will walk around via the land walkways and then if you wish you can take an excursion to actually walk on the glacier itself, a very surreal experience it is too! After your visit you will spend the evening in El Calafate again.

DAY 7

Today you will be taken to Puerto Bandera and spend the day aboard your launch sailing the lake close to the Upsala, Onelliy and Spegazzinni glaciers. The time spent on the lakes will give you amazing views and fantastic photo opportunities, viewing the ice shelves and wildlife close up. You will then travel back to El Calafate to recharge your bateries for an evening out.

DAY 8

After breakfast you will be taken back to El Calafate airport for your flight back to the Argentine capital. Arriving again in Buenos Aires you will be picked up and transfered to your now familiar hotel, or maybe try a new place in a different area, it all depends on your preferences. The afternoon will be free for you to choose what to do in this city of culture and entertainment, try to do something you didnt manage last time such as a visit to the Delta del Tigre maybe? Overnight in Buenos Aires for the last time.

DAY 9

After breakfast you bid fairwell to Argentina and will be transfered to the airport for your flight home or to your next holiday destination with us.
